Teaching Methods

Here we are, I will tell you about the method of teaching that I use. As we know that teaching methods are a way for teachers to explain lessons to students as efficiently as possible so that the students' understanding of the teacher's explanation can increase. The methods in Philippines elementary school based on questions, teachers accompany students' opinions with questions so they can find the right answers based on their own thoughts. This is certainly very influential in the results of learning achievement of students later, because it makes students become more active and independent. also the teacher gives reinvorment to the results of student achievement such as giving rewards, giving praise, and many other things. So we can conclude that the method used is student-centered.

Learning Materials and Inovation

Like other schools, The materials based on subject. Teacher can add other materials like pictures, charts, videos, story telling, etc. For innovation, the teacher uses qeustions and cooperative learning. The most striking difference we feel is in writing some subject meanings or explaining something. In Indonesia we are used to writing it on the blackboard, but, when in the Philippines it was considered a wasting time so we should put it in Instructional Materials. This is clearly reasonable, because in Indonesia we are accustomed to more than being given a long enough time in explaining the concept of certain things.

Sources of Learning and Technology

For sources of learning the teachers at PSU LIS-Elementary using from K-12 curriculum, and the others sources is from subjects book. Use learning media with technology such as projector, video, etc. In additional can use work sheets.

Authentic Assessment

The foundation of authentic assessment revolves around evaluating a students’ ability to apply what they have learned in the lesson. Authentic assessment to measure students' understanding and to measure teacher learning success. Authentic assessment in the classroom based on my observation are performance assessment, questions-answers, self-assessment, worksheet, observing assesment.

Procedures of Teaching asking pupils In the beginning, I will aks pupils to do singing or doing a clap for make them enjoy in the learning, and then I will review the lesson to makae sure pupils understanding their lesson on last meeting . After that, I will give some motivation to pupils, like give them pictures or something interesting to make pupils curiously. And after that teacher will do question-answering until pupils understand and they can guess topic of lesson. The pupils will not immediately be able to guess the topic of learning, so teacher should be repeat the questions, but the questions i t should be from the others objects. Then I will ask to pupils to give some others example, if their can give others example it indicates that they have begun to understand. In the learning I will give a pray them “very good” accourding to the situation. In the end of lesson, I give a worksheet as an evaluation. Days in dormitory

Being an overseas people is a new experience for some of us. Becoming more independent is a necessity for us to not just survive but also do and become an innovator. We are very happy that seameo is present, make us more strong. How not, besides we have to get used to managing everything independently, we also have to adapt the environment quickly, whoa..  something that is quite difficult to expect in first week I arrived in the Philippines as a spoiled child like me. However, all of that is not like my expectation. I am grateful to have met with friends who ... I don't know even sentence cant describe how lucky im have them. my beloved dorm 1 New friends, but feel like already meet for a long time. My new family is in dorm 1. From the left, let's call my sister Uni quen of dancing she dreaming to be like queen urduja, my youngest sister is Rizky  our beloved spy, my sister Minerva is lovely and always sleeps early, Mama Yeni is the most concerned about our condition...
